Cancelling your Professional subscription

Cancel your subscription from your account page, keep Professional access until the end of your billing period, and reactivate any time before then.

You can cancel your Professional subscription at any time from your account page. You’ll keep everything you paid for — Professional access stays active until your current billing period ends, then your account moves to the Free plan automatically.

Cancelling your subscription

Sign in and open Account → Subscription, or go directly to https://redactbox.co.uk/account/subscription.

On the Current Plan card, scroll past the list of plan features and press the Cancel subscription button.

A confirmation dialogue will open titled “Cancel your Professional plan?” explaining what happens next.

You’ll also see two optional fields:

  • A short list of reasons (Too expensive, Missing features, etc.) — pick one if you’d like.

  • A free-text box for anything else you’d like us to know (up to 500 characters).

Both are optional and only help us improve the product. Leave them blank if you’d prefer.

When you’re ready, press Cancel subscription in the dialogue to confirm. If you change your mind, press Keep subscription to close the dialogue with no changes.

What happens after you cancel

Once confirmed, the Current Plan card will show an orange “Subscription ending on [date]” banner. Until that date, you’ll continue to use Professional exactly as before — nothing changes about your projects, files, or redactions.

On the end date, your account automatically moves to the Free plan. Your data stays put — only the Professional features (unlimited files, unlimited projects) are removed.

Changed your mind? Reactivate any time

If you decide to stay on Professional, press the Reactivate button on the orange banner before your end date. Your subscription will continue exactly as it was — same renewal date, same price, no new payment required.

Once your end date has passed and your account has moved to Free, you can resubscribe at any time using the Upgrade to Professional button on the same page.

A few things worth knowing

  • You keep what you paid for. Professional access stays active until the end of your current billing period — we don’t prorate or refund the remaining time, but you don’t lose it either.

  • You can change your mind. Reactivate any time before your end date, and your subscription continues normally.

  • Payments stay secure. All billing is handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.

  • Your data stays put. Cancelling doesn’t delete anything. Your projects, files, and redaction history remain in your account. Only the Professional-only features are removed when you move to Free.
